Hi I am Amy, my hands are behind all the creative cakes showcased here. I am a self taught home baker and decorator.
Everytime I get a question, how did you come into baking, I just look around and say, it just happened, was an accidental entry. But day by day, I get to understand that, children carry whole lot of inborn talents passed down from generation to generation. I came to know that my grandmother & great grandmothers were all fond of baking and cooking. They baked using methods which are unknown to this generation of mine. We just wow at how could they? Bcoz we are used to this modern tools and we have a feeling these are all modern day foods. Nah, not at all. And the reason why I love what I do is I owe it to my mom. Her cakes are so divine and smells heavenly. Never ever baked or learned how to bake from her, just watched her & devoured what she made. I am grateful for having her as my mom, thanking God for her.
So my baking journey started with my daughter’s 3rd birthday cake in 2013. But got into track only by 2016 and now a full time cake decorator. I had no idea of being a cake decorator even in my wildest – sweetest dreams

Come and celebrate Julius & Oliver’s first birthday with the whole jungle! 🐒🐘🦒🦁. Sometimes we got to believe too much is too little & I truly mean it! It might look like there’s a lot going on, but trust me, it’s not. When I finished placing all the toppers, I asked my daughters, “Is it too much?” They said, “No mamma, they’re perfect!” 💛

Let's do some maths, what's 10+6=? Yes, that was the highlight of the cake and much loved by the birthday girl, a lover of maths and music.
The cake was originally planned without any writing, but towards the end, the birthday girls mom hesitantly asked if I could add a few maths equations and music notes. At first, I was doubtful how that would blend with a vintage theme, so I said no. But deep in my heart, I wanted to fulfill her wish. Then came an idea why not make her birthday number into an equation to solve? And there it is, heart shaped cake for a sweet sixteen year old.
🥰Moments like these make me truly happy as a decorator when ideas come to life and bring joy to both the recipient and the creator. These are the moments I cherish most, and the reason I love what I do.

Crafted this drama themed cake for an ardent Theatre Drama Artist. The faces we see are mostly used to depict the emotions of sadness and happiness. When I got this order, I wanted to dig deep into the meaning of the drama faces and what it signifies. So just some learning along with cake crafting.
The comedy and tragedy masks, also known as the drama masks, are a pair of masks, one crying and one laughing, that have widely come to represent the performing arts. Originating in the theatre of ancient Greece, the masks were said to help audience members far from the stage to understand what emotions the characters were feeling.The crying mask is often ascribed the name Melpomene, after the Muse of tragedy, sometimes abbreviated as Melpo, while the laughing mask is named for Thalia, the Muse of comedy, with the Muses often depicted holding their respective masks. That's the cake with the blue theme, the wish that got granted for a dark blue request. Some days are so busy that you post a story and disappear without revealing the whole story via a post. Yes, That's me 😄, most of the time. I prefer to stay away from insta or fb when I am so busy with cakes because if I just scroll on, I miss out on updates from some fellow cakers I love to see on my page. That's part of life's juggles in this social media era, you jump and hop into too many spaces, and the truth is you don't actually belong anywhere!!! It's a non - glued social media journey. Yet you need to thrive at your own pace to be seen & heard!
Coming to the cake, the 22 year old loved his cake with the blue theme. He made up his design with few design options I gave. And tell you the simplicity of the design is so catchy and cool. The inside of the cake is chocolate with smbc btwn the layers and outside covering.
The colour blue was achieved by mixing the overthetop blue BC with a milli-milli drop of black and little white edible colours ( I used americolor black )

Indian classical dance themed cake crafted for a milestone celebration. It was something I always wanted to try my hands on and I am so happy with how it turned out. All these were carefully hand crafted with much love.
The toppers are: (to those unfamiliar)
• The red base with gold beads are called Chilanka / a musical anklet tied to the feet of classical Indian dancers.
• Necklaces worn by dancers or worn by women during any auspicious events and that stands out & gives a classy look to the wearer
• Decorated bangles are much loved by Indian ladies and especially in dance, bangles are unavoidable.
Bringing all these accessories together, I thought it would be the perfect gift anyone can gift their teacher. It was received with lot of appreciation.
