Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, is celebrated with great vibe, but this time there was no pompous gathering or celebrations. Everyone was destined to ‘Home alone celebrations’. With lockdown and putting a halt on my orders, I got some time to focus on creating some edible meal called as Onam Sadhya which is mainly served on banana leaf. On my frame is handmade chocolate fondant bowls filled with sweet vegetarian dishes. Another highlight of onam is the floral decorations which I made with fondant flowers, the lamp as the blessing and the umbrella of the great King, Mahabali, who once ruled Kerala, the land of coocnut trees also called God’s own Country.
